Bring Role Models Into Your School Environment

Mindset Is Everything (MIE) delivers structured basketball and mental wellbeing programs directly into schools across country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne. Our facilitators have represented Australia, competed in NCAA Division I, and played professionally in the NBL, NBL1 and Big V.

They are professional athletes who have lived the pressures of high-performance environments and understand firsthand what it takes to manage focus, emotions, setbacks, and expectations. When students engage with MIE, they are learning from credible role models who speak honestly about confidence, composure, resilience, and decision-making under pressure, both in sport and in everyday life.

More Than a Basketball Session

Basketball is the vehicle.
Mental wellbeing and personal development are the outcomes.
Each session combines structured skill development with practical mindset tools designed to support:
-
Confidence and self-belief
-
Emotional awareness and regulation
-
Improved concentration and attention
-
Composure under pressure
-
Positive habits and decision-making

Students learn how to recognise where their attention is, understand how thoughts influence behaviour, and develop the ability to respond rather than react in challenging situations.
These are not abstract ideas, they're practical tools delivered through interactive activities, guided reflection, and real-game scenarios.

Why Schools Value This Program

Young people today face increasing challenges with focus, emotional regulation, and confidence. Screen exposure, social pressures, and inconsistent role models can impact engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing. MIE provides a preventative, strengths-based approach to youth development by embedding emotional awareness and resilience training into sport participation.
The impact extends beyond the court:
-
Improved classroom engagement
-
Better peer interactions
-
Increased participation in school sport
-
Reduced reactive behaviour in high-pressure settings
-
Greater self-awareness and emotional control

Students connect deeply with the program because the lessons come from professionals who have lived the journey, not just read about it.

Structured, School-Ready Delivery

Sessions are delivered as structured 60-minute programs suitable for Year 5–12 students. Programs can be delivered as:
-
Single incursions
-
Multi-session programs
-
Term-based wellbeing or sport development programs
-
Targeted support for specific year levels or groups

Each program includes clear objectives, measurable wellbeing outcomes, and post-program feedback opportunities for schools.

A Lasting Community Impact

By embedding mental wellbeing into sport participation, schools strengthen both individual student development and broader school culture.
Students leave not just as better players but as more confident, emotionally aware, and focused young people.
